Ellen Curtin Murphy (Pre-Doctoral Fellow; 2018-19)
Ellen Murphy is a MD candidate in her final year of medical school at Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, Michigan. She completed her SAPHIR fellowship in Lima, Peru. Ellen studied intimate partner violence against transgender women and correlates to HIV risk factors in Peru. Her research interests include gender and sexuality and racial health disparities. She is currently applying to obstetrics and gynecology residency programs and plans to spend her career advocating for reproductive justice.
