Program Overview

The SAPHIR program is an 11-month training program in HIV prevention research in Latin America for pre- and post-doctoral physician researchers from the U.S.  Each trainee will be paired with mentors to focus in on a specific area of research while receiving a broad educational overview of all aspects of HIV prevention through the didactic program.

The SAPHIR program is supported by the NIH/NIMH R25 MH087222.
