Rodolfo Castro, DDS, MSc, PhD (Faculty Mentor) is an Assistant Researcher at Fiocruz where he studies Quality of Life (QOL) among people living with HIV infection. Initially trained as a dentist, Dr. Castro completed a PhD in Public Health and shifted focus to epidemiologic research on risk factors for HIV acquisition among high-risk individuals in Brazil and on the development of scales to measure QOL associated with HIV infection.
