Javier Lama, MD, MPH (Faculty Mentor) is Director of HIV Prevention Research at Asociación Civil Impacta Salud y Educación. In addition to his work on clinical trials of HIV treatment and prevention in the AIDS Clinical Trial Group and HIV Prevention Trials Network, he Co-Chaired the iPrex trial of antiretroviral prophylaxis among MSM. His current research includes new strategies to improve HIV prevention and treatment among transgender women.
